Wound care in Jackson Hole

If you have a wound or an ulcer that has not healed within four weeks or has not healed entirely in two months, you may have what is classified as a chronic or non-healing wound.

There are many types of wounds, and they can become chronic for a variety of reasons. Chronic wounds can result from complications with diabetes or poor circulation. Other types can be caused from pressure ulcers and trauma. Chronic or non-healing wounds can be very frustrating to live with, and if not addressed by a specialty-care provider, may cause serious health issues.

St. John’s Health can help diagnose and manage:

  • Leg and foot ulcers, including those caused by diabetes or vascular disease
  • Pressure injuries (pressure ulcers or bed sores)
  • Traumatic wounds, including lacerations and skin tears
  • Surgical wounds
  • Chronic wounds that have not healed in four or more weeks

Additionally, we offer specialized wound treatments including:

  • Debridement of damaged or devitalized tissue to support healing
  • Negative pressure wound therapy
  • Compression therapy
  • Specialized dressings to manage specific wound characteristics
