Health & Wellness

Jackson Hole Wellness Services

Preventing illness is an essential part of your health care, and as a comprehensive care facility, St. John’s Health is proud to offer a host of health and wellness services in Teton County. In the last few years, we have added numerous services to help the people of our community be well. It’s easier and less expensive to prevent health conditions than to treat them - these preventive community programs give you a chance to live a healthier lifestyle as you journey toward optimal health.

Healthy Foods

The Wellness Department works closely with the St. John’s dietary department to make healthy changes to the food that we offer to visitors, patients, and employees. Exciting changes include the introduction of local produce, local antibiotic-free meats, naturally flavored soda waters, and new nutritious daily specials.

We also offer nutrition counseling services, where you can work with a registered dietitian to create a diet specifically designed to prevent various medical conditions.

Healing Touch

The Healing Touch Program is used as a complement to standard medical care in hospitals throughout the world. It works with the body’s natural energy to promote healing. Providers use their hands above or on the body, to clear, energize and balance the human and environmental energy fields. Benefits of Healing Touch include reduced stress, decreased pain, lowered anxiety and depression, enhanced recovery from surgery, supporting cancer care, and easing acute and chronic conditions.

The Wellness Department’s Healing Touch providers are specially selected clinical staff who have completed the minimum 18-hour Healing Touch Level I certification. Providers offer Healing Touch sessions to patients free of charge to enhance their experience in the health system.

Healing Touch Flier

Speakers on nutrition and diabetes prevention

Through their Lunchtime Learning and Words on Wellness programs, the Wellness Department periodically hosts speakers for the community on wellness topics. Past topics have included nutrition, diabetes and chronic disease prevention.
