Your Colonoscopy Prep
Please follow these instructions from St. John's Health on how to prepare your bowels for a colonoscopy procedure.

SuPrep Instructions (Liquid):
Please follow the instructions written below, NOT the instructions on the SuPrep box from your pharmacy, as they differ from each other.
If your procedure is BEFORE 10:30 AM:
- 4:30 pm, take 1 Zofran tablet (optional).
- 5:00 pm, pour one bottle of solution into the mixing container. Add cold water to the 16-ounce line on the container and mix. DO NOT DRINK SUPREP WITHOUT ADDING WATER. Drink the entirety of the mixture.
- Over the next hour, drink two 16-ounce containers of water. This step is important, as it keeps you hydrated and helps the solution cleanse your colon better.
- 8:30 pm, take 1 Zofran tablet (optional).
- 9:00 pm, pour the last bottle of solution into the mixing container. Add cold water to the 16-ounce line on the container and mix. Drink whole mixture.
- Over the next hour, drink two 16-ounce containers of water.
- 1:00 am, if you are still awake, take 1 Zofran tablet (optional).
- IMPORTANT! Please perform COMPLETE FASTING after 1:00 am. (no sips of water, gum, or hard candy).
If your procedure is AFTER 10:30 AM:
- 6:30 pm, take 1 Zofran tablet (optional).
- 7:00 pm, pour one bottle of solution into the mixing container. Add cold water to the 16-ounce line on the container and mix. DO NOT DRINK SUPREP WITHOUT ADDING WATER. Drink the entirety of the mixture.
- Over the next hour, drink two 16-ounce containers of water. This step is important, as it keeps you hydrated and helps the solution cleanse your colon better.
- 10:30 pm, take 1 Zofran tablet (optional).
- 5:00 am, take 1 Zofran tablet (optional).
- 5:30 am, pour the last bottle of solution into the mixing container. Add cold water to the 16-ounce line on the container and mix. Drink whole mixture.
- Over the next hour, drink two 16-ounce containers of water.
- IMPORTANT! Please perform COMPLETE FASTING after 6:30 am (no sips of water, gum, or hard candy).

Please follow the instructions written below, NOT the instructions on the SuTab box from your pharmacy, as they differ from each other.
If your procedure is BEFORE 10:30 AM:
- 4:30 pm, take 1 Zofran tablet (optional).
- 5:00 pm, Open 1 bottle of 12 tablets. Fill the provided container with 16 ounces of water (to the fill line). Swallow each tablet with a sip of water and drink the entire amount of water over the next 30-60 minutes.
- Approximately 1 hour after the last tablet is ingested, fill the provided container again with 16 ounces of water (to the fill line) and drink the entire amount over 30 minutes.
- Approximately 30 minutes after finishing the second container of water, fill the container again with 16 ounces of water and drink over 30 minutes. This step is important, as it keeps you hydrated and helps the solution cleanse your colon better.
- 8:30 pm, take 1 Zofran tablet (optional).
- 9:00 pm, repeat the instructions from above again (12 more tabs and 3 containers of water.)
- 1:00 am, if you are still awake, take 1 Zofran tablet (optional).
- IMPORTANT! Please perform COMPLETE FASTING after 1:00 am. (no sips of water, gum, or hard candy).
If your procedure is AFTER 10:30 AM:
- 6:30 pm, take 1 Zofran tablet (optional).

GoLYTELY (Polyethylene glycol 3350) Instructions (Liquid):
Please follow the instructions written below, NOT the instructions on the GoLYTELY box from your pharmacy, as they may differ from each other. The bowel preparation solution will be consumed in two parts. Mix the solution the morning before your colonoscopy and refrigerate before drinking. You may add the flavor pack that came with the bowel preparation. Do NOT add ice, sugar or any other flavorings to the solution.
Part 1, at 6:00pm the evening before your colonoscopy:
- 5:30 pm, take 1 Zofran tablet (optional).
- 6:00 pm, drink an 8-ounce glass of bowel preparation every 10 minutes for a total of 8 glasses.
- You may continue to drink clear liquids until midnight.
Part 2, four and half hours before your colonoscopy on the day of your procedure:
- Take 1 Zofran tablet (optional).
- Drink an 8-ounce glass of bowel preparation every 10 minutes for a total of 8 glasses.
- Fifteen minutes later, drink an 8-ounce glass of clear liquids every 15 minutes for a total of 2 glasses.
- Thereafter, please perform COMPLETE FASTING (no sips of water, gum, or hard candy).
