Anna Olson President

Anna Olson

Anna Olson is the President of St John’s Health Foundation and Chief Philanthropy Officer of St John’s Health, responsible for securing philanthropic support to advance the mission and strategic objectives of St John’s Health, including patient centered care, clinical excellence and community wellness.
Anna moved to Jackson, WY in Nov 1996 from London, England, she spent 21 years at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in various marketing roles and left as Brand Director to become the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce President and CEO in 2017. At the Chamber she advocated on behalf of the business community for solutions to workforce housing, transportation, conservation and behavioral health. Prior to this she served eight years on the Chamber Board of Directors. She was appointed to the Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities by Governor Mead in 2012 and is a founding board member of Vertical Harvest Jackson Hole. She was appointed to the Wyoming Office of Tourism Board by Governor Gordon in 2019, resigning in 2022 when she joined SJHF.
Anna is married to Jeff Olson and together they are raising three children, Marcus, Martha, and Pearl, who were all born at St John’s Health, Jackson, WY. Her passions include family camping, hiking, skiing, road biking and cooking with friends. The latest Olson, Waffle, is a much loved Golden Retriever who has a lot to learn.
Sheldon Perkins Vice President, Development and Stewardship

Sheldon Perkins

Prior to joining the Foundation in 2021, Sheldon applied her development and marketing expertise to a variety of startups and nonprofits, both in Jackson and the Tri-State area. Sheldon grew up in Jackson and is thrilled by the opportunity to serve her community by supporting the St. John’s Health mission and the patients that it serves.
In her free time, Sheldon enjoys baking, New York Times crossword puzzles, and spending time outside with her family.
Alexis Sailor Director of Development

Alexis Sailor

Alexis joined the St. John’s Health Foundation as the Director of Development in 2023. Alexis comes with 18+ years of healthcare sales and leadership experience in the Primary Care and Acute Care space with Roche, McKesson, Abbott, and most recently Pathnostics. Alexis is responsible for donor outreach and overseeing Annual Giving and Legacy Giving Programs. She is passionate about the mission and strategic objectives of St. John’s Health. Improving the lives of patients and driving clinical excellence and community wellness is at the center of all her philanthropic discussions. Alexis enjoys working with the donors, volunteers, and community members who proudly support the patients that we serve with our critical fundraising efforts.
A Santa Barbara native, Alexis relocated to Teton Valley Idaho after visiting with family in Jackson and imagining a simpler life full of nature and adventure. Alexis leads an active life with her daughter, Olivia. She enjoys time with her family, walking, hiking, fishing, golfing, basketball, yoga, and meditation.
Chris Clabuesch Operations and Program Manager

Chris Clabuesch

Chris joined the St. John’s Health Foundation as the Operations and Program Manager in 2022. Chris has a background in purchasing, inventory control and project management. He enjoys working closely with donors, volunteers, and community members who proudly support the foundation’s critical fundraising efforts.
A Michigan native, Chris relocated to Jackson Hole in 2012 to pursue the dream of living out his great American adventure. Chris first entered service with St. John’s Health as a purchasing agent spending 5 years with the organization, and honing his talents in project management working for Teton County. When the opportunity to return to St. John’s Health presented itself he knew the outstanding culture and connection to the community was the perfect fit.
Chris is proud to be part of an amazing community committed to so many worthwhile causes. You can find him taking advantage of all that the mountain west has to offer from skiing to hiking joined by his wife Blair and their two loyal companions Dave and Earl.
Jennifer Bullerwell Development and Stewardship Manager

Jennifer Bullerwell

Jennifer joined the St. John’s Health Foundation as the Development and Stewardship Manager in 2024. With over a decade of experience in communications—including public relations, event planning, marketing, graphic design, social media, copywriting, and content management—Jennifer brings a wealth of expertise to her role.
Originally from Colorado, Jennifer graduated from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction with a degree in mass communications and public relations. Her career has taken her across various fields, giving her a well-rounded perspective on effective communication strategies. Before moving to Teton County to be closer to family, Jennifer was the Director of Communications at a Federally Qualified Health Center in West Palm Beach, FL, where she discovered her passion for nonprofit work.
Outside of work, Jennifer loves hiking, kayaking, enjoying breathtaking views, cooking, and traveling. She’s excited to apply her diverse skills at the St. John’s Health Foundation and contribute to its mission of making a difference in the community.

Board Members

Jane Hopkins Carey Chair

Jane Hopkins Carey

Jane’s career spanned more than three decades in the advancement and support of education. A 19-year career leading fundraising, communications, special events, and career development divisions at Georgetown University has been complemented by volunteer leadership positions there. As Chair of Georgetown’s 100-person Board of Regents, Jane led the Regents’ work to support the University’s $1.5 billion capital campaign until 2016. During this time, she also served on Georgetown’s Board of Directors and on its Executive Committee. Beyond her career at Georgetown, Jane worked for nearly a decade as a Grants Consultant for the MBNA Education Foundation in Wilmington Delaware, identifying and evaluating cutting-edge teaching programs in K-12 schools throughout Delaware. During that time Jane also served on the Board of the Buffalo Seminary, an all girls school in Buffalo New York.
In addition to the St. John’s Health Foundation Board, Jane is a member of the Board of the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole and served on its Competitive Grants Committee. Jane and John, have three sons, two daughters-in-law and three grandchildren. Jane and her husband John moved to Jackson Hole full time in 2016. Prior to that the Carey family had been frequent visitors winter and summer since 1990.
Jane has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2018.
Tom Bruno Vice Chair

Tom Bruno

Tom Bruno is a Managing Director and Principal of Robertson Stephens in Jackson, Wyoming. Previously, Tom was a Wealth Advisor at Wells Fargo’s Private Bank in Jackson and, prior to that, worked in the investment research space at FactSet where he ran their west coast region from San Francisco. Tom has been in the financial services industry his entire career. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Iowa. Outside the office, Tom can be found on a road bike or in a pair of trail running shoes. His wife, Jen, is an active volunteer in the public schools and their three kids tolerate Tom’s affinity for rock and roll autobiographies. He is President of the Rotary Club of Jackson Hole.
Tom has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2019.
Bob Pisano Past Chair

Bob Pisano

Bob Pisano is a retired Entertainment Industry Executive, having served for more than 35 years in senior executive positions at Paramount Pictures, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, the Screen Actors Guild and the Motion Picture Association. He also served as Chair for 6 years of the Motion Picture and Television Fund, the charitable foundation which supports the entertainment industry. Prior to joining Paramount Pictures, Pisano was a partner in the law firm of O’Melveny & Myers in both the Los Angeles and Paris offices of that firm.
He currently serves as the Lead Independent Director of RGP, a global consulting firm.
Bob and his wife, Carolyn purchased their first home in Jackson Hole in 1983 when several of his law firm colleagues began developing Spring Creek Ranch. They established full time residence in the Valley in 2013. The oldest of their 4 children, Catherine Wade lives in Jackson with her family and is an RN at St. John’s Health.
Bob has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2016.
Patricia Robertson Secretary

Patricia Robertson

Patricia (Pat) retired from the Mercy Health (Chesterfield, Missouri) in 2017 where she was VP Finance for Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City and Finance VP for System Operations on Mercy’s Innovation Team—Noah’s Ark. Previously, Pat was the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance of the West Virginia University Foundation in Morgantown, West Virginia. In this role, Pat provided financial oversight of the Foundation’s assets of nearly $900 million. A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, and a Certified Public Accountant, Pat began her career as a CPA working for a firm with a focus on health care, she was CFO and VP Finance for Duncan Regional Hospital (Oklahoma) for over 17 years and was VP for Finance Health Policy for the Oklahoma Hospital Association.
Pat and her husband Dave have resided in Victor, Idaho since 2017. Dave Robertson is also a long-time healthcare executive and most recently served as CEO of St. John’s Health. Pat has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2018 stepping away during the time that Dave was CEO.
Pat has served as a Director of St. John’s Hospital Foundation since 2018.
Doug Ober Finance/Investment Chair

Doug Ober

Doug Ober retired as the Chairman and CEO of the Adams Express Company and the Petroleum & Resources Corporation in Baltimore, Maryland in 2014. Doug was the leader of the two NYSE traded Closed-End Investment Companies from 1991 until 2013. Doug began his career at First National Bank of Maryland (now M&T Bank) from 1972 until 1980 when he joined Adams Express Company as a Vice President and Research Analyst. Doug graduated from Princeton University and then attended U.S. Naval Test Pilot School. Doug secured an MBA from Loyola University and a certificate from the Wharton Advanced Management Program. Doug lives in Jackson full-time and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the 3 Creek Homeowners Association. Previously, Doug served on the Greater Baltimore Medical Center Foundation Board (2000-2006), and later the Credentials Committee of the Greater Baltimore Medical Center.
Doug has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2019.
Deborah Chase Hopkins Development Co-Chair

Deborah Chase Hopkins

Debby Hopkins is an Independent Board Member and an active advisor to early stage companies. Her C suite experiences in finance, technology and innovation across multiple industries allow her to bring a unique view to support management teams in pursuit of growth.
She is a member of the Board of Directors at Union Pacific, MarshMcLennan, Bridge Investment Group, Compass Digital SPAC and privately-held cyber security company Deep Instinct.
Debby was the founder and CEO of Citi Ventures based in Silicon Valley, and Citi’s first Chief Innovation Officer from 2008-2016. She joined Citi in 2003 as Head of Corporate Strategy and M&A. She was Chief Operations & Technology Officer from 2003-2005 and later a senior advisor to Citi’s Investment Bank.
Prior to Citi she served as Chief Financial Officer at The Boeing Company and Lucent Technologies. She was General Auditor at General Motors, VP of Finance at GM Europe in Zurich, and formerly Corporate Controller at Unisys. She started her career at Ford.
Debby has served on the Boards of DuPont, Dendrite, Qlik Technologies and Virtusa. Fortune twice placed Debby in the top 10 most powerful women in business and was on the Institutional Investor’s Top 50 list every year from 2011 until her retirement. Debby holds honorary doctorate degrees from Westminster College and Walsh College and a B.A. in Accounting from Walsh College.
Debby has been a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since January 2018.
Ted Staryk Development Co-Chair

Ted Staryk

Ted Staryk was elected chair of The McKnight Foundation board of directors, becoming the Foundation’s sixth chair since it was established in 1953. Staryk succeeds Robert J. Struyk, elected in 2009, who completed his three-year term at the close of 2011. Staryk has been a member of McKnight’s board of directors since 2004, and has served on McKnight’s investment committee and as the Foundation’s treasurer. He is also a partner at CNote Management Company and owner of the Snake River Brewery. He has a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology from the University of Minnesota, and previously worked six years in the player personnel department of the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers. Ted lives in Jackson with his wife Noa, a fourth-generation McKnight board member and small business owner, and their two children.
Ted has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2017.
Katharine Conover-Keller Nominating Chair, St. John’s Health Board of Trustees

Katharine Conover-Keller

Katharine Conover-Keller served as President of the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole for more than 14 years, prior to her retirement in February 2020. During her tenure, the organization’s assets grew over 40% to more than $85 million. Annually, the Community Foundation raises millions of dollars for local nonproﬁts through Old Bill’s Fun Run.
Previously, Katharine was the Executive Director of Community Safety Network, also serving on the Governor’s Domestic Violence Elimination Council and the Wyoming Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Earlier in her human services career, she was a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at the Jackson Hole Community Counseling Center. In 2015, she was named Citizen of the Year by the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce.
Katharine has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2023.
Bill Hoglund St. John's Health Board of Trustees Representative

Bill Hoglund

Bill’s business background is in finance: he earned a BA in Management Science and German Literature cum laude from Duke University and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He spent 18 years working for JP Morgan as an investment banker in New York, London, and Chicago before leaving to work as a CFO for one of his clients in Seattle. He retired in 2000 and since then has been actively investing in small private companies.
Bill is a board member and chair of Kratos Defense & Security, a NASDAQ quoted company. He also serves as chair of SAFE Boats International, a leading private manufacturer of vessels for the military, law enforcement and industry. He is also a Director of Bridger Trust, a Wyoming Trust Company and serves on its audit committee.
In addition to being actively involved philanthropically, Bill served on the board of the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole for 11 years and was its Chair for two years. He was one of the founding members of the Teton County Search & Rescue Foundation, who served on its board, and was its Chair for two years. He has also served on the board of the Teton Literacy Center.
Bill and his wife Lannie have lived full-time in Jackson for almost 20 years. Together, they have three adult children and six grandchildren. With his family, Bill enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, and traveling.
Bill has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2025.
Jeff Sollis St. John's Health CEO

Jeff Sollis

Jeff Sollis has over seventeen years of hospital leadership experience at facilities across the nation, including as chief executive officer at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC), a position he has held since 2018. Prior to being appointed CEO in January 2018, Sollis served as EIRMC’s chief operating officer (COO) for four years. January 2, 2023, he assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at St. John’s Health, Jackson, WY.
Long established as the largest hospital in southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, and southwest Montana and the regional referral center for multiple hospitals within this service area, EIRMC has achieved even greater growth and transformation under Sollis’ leadership:
Opened the only Burn Center in Idaho. The Center is the only of its kind in a multi-state region and provides complex surgical, critical care, hyperbaric and wound care services to adult and pediatric burn patients. Thousands of patients have accessed and benefited from these services over the past 3.5 years.
Launched a Graduate Medical Education program to include Internal Medicine, Family Medicine and Psychiatry that has grown to become the largest GME program in the state of Idaho and will soon have a total of 64 residents.
Elevated pediatric care for children in the region, including the recruitment of subspecialists such as pediatric intensivists, pediatric hospitalists, pediatric surgery, pediatric anesthesia, pediatric endocrinology, pediatric cardiology, and the creation of the Ronald McDonald Family Room at EIRMC.
Navigated the COVID-19 pandemic and cared for more COVID-19 patients than any other hospital in southeast Idaho.
Expanded and improved Level II Trauma services, both in terms of expanding access to the highest level of trauma services in the larger region and in clinical quality.
Achieved significant improvements in nearly every quality and patient safety metric, including but not limited to mortality, sepsis mortality, expeditious and outcomes-focused stroke care, and hospital acquired infections.
Prior to his tenure at EIRMC, Sollis held positions as chief operating officer at Timpanogos Regional Hospital (Orem, Utah); VP of Operations at Wesley Medical Center (Wichita, Kansas); and Assistant Administrator at North Suburban Medical Center (Thornton, Colorado).
Sollis earned his Masters of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a bachelor’s of arts degree in Behavioral Science and Health from the University of Utah.
Community involvement and philanthropy is a core value for Sollis. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine, and has served on the Board of Directors for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho, and the HCA Healthcare Hope Fund.
Sollis is married to his wife Rachel and they have four children. He is an avid outdoorsman and is passionate about fly fishing, hiking, snowboarding and other mountain sports.
Jim Auge Board Member

Jim Auge

Jim Auge is the Vice President and Co-Owner of Teton Motors, Inc. the only family-owned and full-service automotive dealership in Jackson Hole. Teton Motors was founded by the Auge family and has served northwestern Wyoming for over 50 years.
After graduating from the University of Wyoming, Jim worked at Price Waterhouse and Fideilty National Title, a publicy held title insurance company. He returned to Jackson in 1991 with his wife Carolyn and two canine companions to enter the family business. Community service has always been a priority for the family. Accordingly, Jim has held leadership roles in Rotary, the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce, Community Safety Network, Teton Youth and Family Services and the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. In 2011, he was recognized as the Business Person of the Year by the Teton Board of Realtors and is a past president of the Wyoming Auto Dealers Association. Jim currently serves on the Board of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming.
Jim and his wife Carolyn enjoy all that Wyoming has to offer along with their three dogs and one feisty cat.

Rebecca Balyasny Board Member

Rebecca Balyasny

Rebecca Balyasny has spent most of her career in various capacities in Financial Services. Most recently, Rebecca built the private investment strategy of the Balyasny Family Office. She spent the earlier part of her career in debt capital markets at UBS and then at Prudential Capital Group, focused on private credit.
Subsequently, Rebecca founded Lionel Advisors, a consulting firm advising PE and VC firms on marketing strategies. During the pandemic, Rebecca founded a virtual fitness company, Bande. 
Rebecca currently services on the board of STATE Bags, a high growth consumer company for families on the move. She is also on the advisory board of Kinzie Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on the middle market. 
Rebecca’s philanthropic focus has been in the education and Jewish advocacy space. Rebecca is a founding member of Atlas Fellows, a scholarship and internship placement program for first generation college students pursuing finance careers. She has served on the boards of Teach for America, Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund, and Jewish United Fund YLD. 
Rebecca and her husband, Dmitry, moved from Chicago to Jackson in March of 2020 with their two young boys. She loves nothing more than skiing with her family in the winter and hiking and climbing in the summer.
Rebecca has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2024.
Michael Coles Board Member

Michael Coles

After a successful 19 year career in the clothing business Michael tested his entrepreneurial skills in 1977 when he co-founded Great American Cookie Company. When Michael started the Company there were three major cookie companies in business; one had almost 100 stores and the other two had fifty each. When he sold the Company in 1998 with sales over $100 million, Great American Cookie Company was the largest franchisor of cookie stores and the other three companies no longer existed. In 2003 Michael accepted the corporate reins of Caribou Coffee Company as Chairman, CEO and President. Over the next five years Michael more than doubled the size of the company extending the brand reach domestically and internationally. In September 2005, he successfully took the company public on NASDAQ under the symbol CBOU. Coles was one of the founders of Charter Bank & Trust and served as its Chairman, taking the bank public and selling the publicly traded company to Synovus Bank.
Having contributed much of their time and resources to education, the arts, environment and philanthropic organizations, Michael and his wife, Donna were honored as the Georgia Philanthropists of the year in 1995. Michael was appointed by Governor Roy Barnes in 2001 to serve on the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia.
In recognition of Michael’s success, leadership and benevolence, Kennesaw State University, under the authority granted by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, declared that the institution’s School of Business be named and known in perpetuity as the Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University. In 1999 Michael received the Honorary Doctor of Human Letters Degree from Kennesaw State University.
Michael lives in Atlanta and Jackson, WY with his wife Donna and they are the parents of three adult children and seven grandchildren.
Michael has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2018.
Richard Collister Board Member

Richard Collister

Dick Collister has lived in the valley full-time since 2003, after retiring from Comerica Incorporated where he served as executive vice president in charge of corporate staff and chief human resources officer. He also served as president of the Comerica Charitable Foundation and a member of the Management Council. Prior to that had worked in human resources with Merrill Lynch, Chase Manhattan Bank, and The First National Bank of Chicago.
Among his past professional and community affiliations, he has served as chairman of the Michigan Bankers Association and served on the Government Relations Council of The American Banker's Association, the board of the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, and the Detroit Historical Society. In the valley, he has served on the boards of PAWS, the Art Association, the National Museum of Wildlife Art, the Meg and Bert Raynes Wildlife Fund, and as co-chair of the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. He is currently on the boards of The Teton Literacy Center and The Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum.
Dick is a graduate of Denison University and has a Master's degree from the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University.
He and his wife, Nancy, live in Wilson, WY.
Dick has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2024.
Tom Fay Board Member

Tom Fay

Tom Fay spent the early part of his childhood around the North shore of the Chicago area before moving to Jackson Hole with his family to open Bentwood Bed & Breakfast in 1993. Growing up in the hospitality business, Tom decided to continue that path and get a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Business Management from Johnson & Wales University. Tom is the owner of Pinky G’s Pizzeria which opened in June, 2011. Pinky G’s has been featured in many national publications, but most notably twice on the Food Networks hit show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. He is a partner at Moe’s Original BBQ and entrepreneur of other small business ventures in the Jackson area where he helps oversee the financial day-to-day operations. His wife Kristin is the owner and partner of Interior Design firm, Trauner Fay Designs in Wilson. Tom and Kristin can often be seen at local events with their identical twin girls, Collins and Campbell. Outside of the restaurant business, Tom prefers to be found on the ski slopes, playing hockey or on the golf course.
Tom joined the St. John’s Pulse Advisory Committee in 2019 and enjoys working with the Foundation team on a special where $2 from every large pizza sold during the month of October is donated to the Women’s Health Care Fund.
Tom has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2020.
Charles Fleischman Board Member

Charles Fleischman

Chuck Fleischman is an entrepreneur and venture capitalist. He is the former President, COO & CFO of Digene Corporation, where he created an emerging growth, biotechnology medical device company to develop, manufacture and commercialize molecular diagnostic tests for human infectious diseases and cancers. Digene changed medical practice and standards of care in cervical cancer screening and prevention. Mr. Fleischman has also been a member of the Board of Directors of Assurex Health, Cord Blood Research, One Lambda, Inc., and Dako. In the non-profit sector, Mr. Fleischman serves on the boards of the TEAMFund, WY. He has also served on the boards of the Institute for Health Studies and the Potomac Conservancy, American Alpine Club, and the Johns Hopkins School of Education. Mr. Fleischman graduated from Harvard College and obtained his MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is also a Harvard University Advanced Leadership Fellow.
Chuck has climbed, skied and rafted all over the world. He lives with his wife Lisa in Teton Village, WY and they raised their children outside Washington, DC.
Chuck has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2009.
Jeff Flug Board Member

Jeff Flug

Jeffrey Flug is the former president of Union Square Hospitality Group and board director of Shake Shack Enterprises. Jeff has over 25 years of leadership and management experience primarily in the financial industry, as well as in the non-profit sector.
After graduating from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst in 1984, he began his career as an accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he attained his CPA. After receiving his MBA from Columbia Business School, Jeff joined Goldman, Sachs & Co., and ultimately served as a Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income Financial Futures and Options Sales. In 2000, Jeff became the Head of North America Fixed Income Institutional Sales for JPMorgan Chase & Co. Jeff also served as CEO and Executive Director for Millennium Promise, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to end extreme poverty and malaria in Africa.
Jeff and his wife Sheryl have three daughters.
Jeff has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2021.
Ben Goldberg Board Member

Ben Goldberg

As a young attorney working in a traditional law firm, Ben often felt as if he was serving as a referee for his clients; addressing issues after the fact that had already come to a head. He was inspired to join New West as in-house counsel so that he could serve in a more strategic role, anticipating issues before they arise, navigating the broader legal environment, identifying proactive solutions, and delivering the best results for the business. Ben finds it incredibly motivating to be a member of a team dedicated to and driven by excellence, and he is excited to be helping that team win the game, rather than just calling balls and strikes.
Ben’s primary responsibilities are to advise executive and senior management, review and create contracts with clients, subcontractors, employees, and vendors, manage legal matters including legal and regulatory compliance, implement corporate directives and liaise with outside counsel.
Ben enjoys working with the talented, motivated and dedicated New West team and enjoys the fast-paced and diverse nature of his work. He is continuously honing and expanding his legal knowledge and skills, as well as his industry knowledge, financial acumen, and leadership skills.

Robert Halper, MD Board Member

Robert Halper, MD

Robert M. Halper, MD, MBA, FACR is retired from Radiology Associates of Atlanta. Dr. Halper served Piedmont Hospital in this role from 1977 until 2016. Dr. Halper graduated from Columbia University, attended the University of Cincinnati Medical School and secured his MD. His training included the University of Washington and a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the Robert Breck Bingham Hospital at Harvard Medical School. He earned his MBA from Kennesaw State University in 1997. Dr. Halper’s faculty and administrative positions include as an instructor in Radiology at Harvard Medical School (1976-1977); staff radiologist at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Center (1976-1977); visiting instructor at Emory University Medical School (1977-1978); and Chairman, Department of Radiology at Piedmont Hospital (1992-1997); and President, Radiology Associates of Atlanta (1992-2000 and 2012-2016). Bob and his wife Nanci have four grown children and three grandchildren. Bob and Nanci live in Jackson and maintain a home in Atlanta, and they enjoy travel, photography, skiing, biking, hiking and many other outdoor pursuits.

May Herr Board Member

May Herr

May Herr moved full time to Jackson Hole in August of 2018 after living in the San Francisco Bay Area for 25 years. She received her Bachelor of Arts & Sciences from Boston College and her Master’s in Health Services Administration from The University of Michigan. She worked as a management consultant to hospitals and healthcare organizations across the U.S. May has served leadership positions and board roles in non-profit organizations that support education, healthcare, and human services in the SF Bay Area and Wyoming. She was born in the Philippines and grew up in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. May and her husband, John, have four children – Jeffrey (Amherst College ’20), Eva (Vanderbilt University ’22), Marena (Jackson Hole Community School ’21; Harvard University ’25) and Vivian (Jackson Hole Community School ’21; Vanderbilt University ’25).
May has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2020.
Evan Jones Board Member

Evan Jones

Mr. Jones has more than 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur and investor in the life sciences industry. He spent his career leading innovations in diagnostic testing and cancer screening, helping to pioneer the use of DNA testing and genomics to improve patient care. Mr. Jones is Managing Member of jVen Capital, LLC, a life sciences investment company. He serves on the Board of Directors for Veracyte, Inc (Nasdaq:VCYT), a leading global diagnostics company for cancer testing, Protagene GmbH, and Brightside Health. Prior to forming jVen Capital, he was cofounder, Chairman and CEO of Digene Corporation, a publicly traded biotechnology company focused on women’s health and molecular diagnostic testing.
Through his community service and philanthropy, Mr. Jones has helped improve health care for children and increased investment in disease control, prevention and biomedical research. He served on the Board of Trustees for St. John’s Health from 2022 to 2024. He was a Board member and Vice Chairman of the Board for the Children’s National Hospital, Washington, DC and Board Chairman for the Children’s Research Institute. He was founding Chairman of the Campaign for Public Health Foundation, an organization dedicated to making public health and prevention a higher national priority and he served on the Board of Directors of the American College of Medical Genetics Foundation. Mr. Jones is a member of the Advisory Board for the BioFrontiers Institute at the University of Colorado.
Mr. Jones has a B.A. degree from the University of Colorado and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Evan and his wife Cindy enjoy skiing, hiking, biking, sailing and golf.
James Little, Jr., MD Board Member

James Little, Jr., MD

Dr. James "Jim" Little, Jr., spent most of his childhood in Jackson, Wyoming. His father, Dr. Jim Little, Sr., was the first pediatrician in Jackson and still practices as a pediatrician here.
Dr. Little, Jr., graduated from Jackson Hole High School and earned a bachelor's degree in television and film production at Syracuse University. During college and afterward, he developed a passion for medicine while working as a professional and volunteer Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). After a brief stint working in TV news and film production, he followed his dream and went back to medical school. In 1998, he graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he was president of his medical school class. He completed his residency training in family medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon.
After practicing family medicine in the Portland area for seven years, Dr. Little, Jr., had the opportunity to return home to Jackson Hole in 2008.
Jim embraces a patient-centric philosophy of medicine. He believes passionately in the importance of a strong doctor-patient collaboration in medical care and treating the whole person, and not just focusing on individual organs or medical conditions. He has special interests in sports and wilderness medicine, aviation medicine, pediatric care, and urgent care for children and adults of all ages. He is board certified in family medicine and is also a Senior FAA Aviation Medical Examiner.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Little Jr. is an avid skier, volunteers as a firefighter with Jackson Fire/EMS, and flies as a search and rescue mission pilot with Civil Air Patrol.
Jim has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2024.
Marcia Lux, MD Ex Officio, SJH Chief of Medical Staff

Marcia Lux, MD

Dr. Marcia Lux is a board-certified internist and is the medical director of the Hospitalist program at St. Johns Health. She is also the current SJH Chief of Staff. Originally from Boston, she received a BA from the University of Vermont and MD from Harvard Medical School. She spent a decade in New York City, completing internship and residency at Columbia before joining the faculty at Columbia and Cornell as an academic hospitalist. She moved to Jackson in 2012 and has worked full time at St. John’s since 2013. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and rooting for her favorite Boston sports teams.
Marcia has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2024.
Gary Roubin, MD Board Member

Gary Roubin, MD

Dr. Gary Roubin, MD, PhD is an internationally renowned interventional cardiologist, recognized for his groundbreaking work in the development of the first FDA-approved coronary stent, as well as in pioneering the techniques of carotid stenting and embolic protection devices. Gary has published more than 250 papers and 225 abstracts in journals, edited three textbooks, and contributed to other textbooks. His 30-year career has gained him a formidable reputation in the field of cardiac care.
Gary earned his medical degree at the University of Queensland, Australia, completed his residency at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and his fellowship at Hallstrom Institute of Cardiology in Sydney. He holds a Ph.D. in cardiovascular physiology at Sydney University Hospital. Gary has served in numerous leadership roles throughout his career in hospital based practices including Chair of Interventional Cardiac and Vascular Services at Lenox Hill in New York City for nearly a decade as well Service Line Director for the 3 hospital Continuum System in NY. He also served on faculty at Emory University School of Medicine and University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. He is a 25 year resident of Jackson with wife, Peta, and his five children.
Gary has served as a Director of St. John’s Health Foundation since 2021.
Katrina Ryan Board Member

Katrina Ryan

Katrina was born and raised in Wyoming and has lived in Jackson since 1988. She attended Miss Porter’s School in Farmington, CT and then went on to attend University of Colorado in Boulder where she graduated with a BA in Psychology. She moved to NYC in the Spring of 2002 where she lived for five years and worked for various Fashion Houses in Public Relations.
Katrina and her husband met in Jackson where they both grew up and moved home in 2007. They have three children; Madeline (16), Charlie (14), Olivia (9) and two dogs, one of which was adopted from the Animal Adoption Center. They own several local businesses including Aspen’s Market, Pearl Street Market and Wine, Westside Wine, Sudachi, Suda, and Flat Creek Business Center. While her husband deals mainly in the retail/development space, Katrina has dedicated her life to non-profit work since having kids.
She has been a Board Member of Miss Porter’s School, Jackson Hole Therapeutic Riding Association, The Raptor Center, R Park, The Art Association, and The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. She has served on the Community Foundation Competitive Grants Committee as Chair of Education and Recreation and The Raptor Center Capitol Campaign as well. Katrina is currently serving on the Board of The Animal Adoption Center, The Jackson Hole Community School, and The William E. Weiss Foundation. Katrina and her husband enjoy cooking and entertaining and out of that love they started Jackson Hole Food and Wine to bring amazing chefs and vintners to Jackson for two festivals a year that benefits local non-profit Hole Food Rescue. Katrina loves being involved in the Community and feels Board work is a fantastic way feel connected and to give back. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, and socializing. Most of all she loves being a mom and being able to raise her family in the same amazing place where she and her husband grew up.

Martin Trott, MD Board Member

Martin Trott, MD

Dr. Martin Trott (Marty) runs the St. John’s Health ENT and Hearing Clinic. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He received his BA from University of Rochester and his MD from the University of Rochester School of Medicine, both in Rochester, NY. He did his surgical internship and his residency in Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH where he was in practice before coming to Jackson to work at St. John’s Medical Center. His wife Cindy is an advanced practice nurse and they have three children.

Bill Best Board Emeritus

Bill Best

William Best is a retired partner with A.T. Kearney, a global management consulting firm with 45 offices and roughly $1.5 billion in revenue. As a senior member of the management team, Mr. Best served on the firm’s Board of Directors and the Compensation Committee, while maintaining P&L responsibility for the Asia Pacific region, and the Americas region at various times in his career. In Asia for 12 years, Mr. Best re-started a struggling operation in Tokyo, and eventually grew the Asia business to 11 offices and $100 million in revenue. Later, he was responsible for the Americas region, the firm’s largest and most profitable. His consulting professional work involved marketing, distribution and operations, in a variety of industries, particularly consumer products, automotive, and medical devices. Stepping down from line responsibilities, he oversaw the firm’s internal operations, including information technology, marketing, resource centers, office services, legal, and human resources.
During his career, he has served on a number of charitable boards, including the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, Children’s Memorial Hospital of Chicago, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, among others. He recently served as the lay board member on the Board of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Western Orthopaedic Association. He also serves on the Board of the Teton Literacy Center, the Jackson Hole Center for Global Affairs, and the Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum.
Bill and his wife Martha have owned in Teton Valley for 38 years, and have lived here full time for the past 12 years. They have 4 children, and 7 grandchildren. His hobbies include skiing, horseback riding, motorcycle riding, and antique wooden boats.

Ed Liebzeit Board Emeritus

Ed Liebzeit

Ed is a top real estate agent in Jackson Hole with over 20 years of success, known for his market expertise, integrity and client-focused approach. A former executive at Procter & Gamble, he applies strong marketing and negotiation skills to benefit his clients. As president of Jackson Hole Sotheby’s International Realty, he restored the company’s profitability before returning to full-time real estate. Consistently ranked among the area’s top agents, Ed is the only person from Wyoming to ever have been honored by the National Association of Realtors with their Good Neighbor Award. He also has been awarded Teton Board of Realtors’ Realtor of the Year in recognition of his professional excellence in real estate.
Ed is known throughout Jackson Hole for his non-profit work and service to the community and has been recognized as a Hometown Hero by the town of Jackson. He currently serves on the Jackson Hole Airport Board, is Chairman Emeritus of the St. John’s Health Foundation, Commander of the Jackson Hole VFW Post, Veterans Day and Memorial Day service leader for the American Legion, Jackson Hole AIR Board member, former Board member of the Wyoming Lottery Corp, and is a Habitat for Humanity Future Projects Committee member. Ed also chaired the hospital’s most recent capital campaign which exceeded its goal and raised more than $19 million. He is a member of the Wednesday Lunch Group, the Rotary Club, and is past Rotary Foundation Chair. He was Chair of the Community Safety Network Board for six years and Chaired the Town of Jackson Centennial celebration. Ed has served on numerous other non-profit and for-profit boards. In addition, Ed and his wife, Carole, continue to be strong supporters of and donors to multiple non-profits in the area.
Ross Hartley Board Emeritus

Ross Hartley

Ross is a private investor and runs a small venture capital firm. He is the Co-Founder and past Director of NIC, Inc. (EGOV) an investor-owned company that has been a leader in providing e-government solutions for federal, state and local governments since 1991. He was also the past Director at Empire District Electric Company (EDE). Ross was a long-time leader in the independent insurance business and has varied experience on both public and private boards including significant experience serving on Finance and Audit Committees.
James E. Eden Board Emeritus

James Eden

Jim has called Jackson home since 1995. With a long and accomplished career in senior living and healthcare services, he is the past chairman of The Eden Group, LLC, based in Wilson, WY. Before that, he served as Executive Vice President of Marriott Corporation and General Manager of its Senior Living Services Division, gaining extensive experience in operating and owning senior care communities.
Jim has always been deeply involved in the Jackson community. He is the past chairman of the St. John's Health Foundation Board and Omega Worldwide, Inc., and served as a board member for the Aspens Water & Sewer District and First Bank of the Tetons.
Beyond his professional and philanthropic work, Jim has a passion for golf and community development. He was a co-managing member of Teton Springs Golf & Casting Club in Victor, Idaho, and a partner in Teton Pines Country Club.
Although he has stepped back from leadership roles, Jim remains an active and dedicated member of the Jackson community, continuing to support initiatives that make a lasting impact.
