Kathleen A. Vanier, MD

About Kathleen

Dr. Kathleen Vanier attended medical school at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency and chief residency at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC), a quaternary referral hospital in San Francisco, CA. Subsequently, she worked for 15 years as a hospitalist for Pacific Inpatient Medical Group at CPMC. She fulfilled roles as Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine Internal Medicine Clerkship Site Director and Chief of the Hospitalist Division of the Department of Internal Medicine. Subsequently, she spent two years practicing outpatient medicine in the concierge office of Marilyn Kutzscher, MD in San Francisco. She moved to Jackson in June, 2021 with her husband and two teenage sons and is grateful to be part of the Jackson community. Currently the Medical Director of Sage Living, a long term care facility affiliated with St. John’s Health in Jackson, Dr. Vanier is committed to assisting older residents who often have memory issues.

Over her 25 year internal medicine career, Dr. Vanier has cared for a mostly geriatric patient population. She strongly believes in preventative health care and maintenance of good quality of life. These goals fit well with the Connections Program in helping community members with memory challenges and their caregivers maintain their wellbeing with community support.
