Dr. Chung has been a practicing gastroenterologist and community healthcare leader for more than 18 years in a practice that served Middlesex and New Haven counties. In clinical practice, Dr. Chung specializes in diseases that affect the digestive system which includes the gastrointestinal tract (esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum and anus) as well as the pancreas, liver, bile ducts, and gallbladder.

Dr. Chung graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brown University in Providence, RI, and earned his MD at New York University School of Medicine in New York, NY. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and his fellowship in Digestive Diseases at Yale University School of Medicine/Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Chung has combined his love of travel with medicine and was an outpatient physician on a remote Fijian island and at a traveler’s clinic in Kathmandu.
