Innovative End-of-Life Planning Programs Coming to Jackson Hole with Susan Bauer-Wu, PhD

St. John’s Health and the Teton County Library are excited to present a two-day program featuring Dr. Susan Bauer-Wu, a nationally recognized expert in end-of-life care and a leader in palliative care. Dr. Bauer-Wu’s work emphasizes the importance of thoughtful and compassionate planning, helping individuals and families navigate this often-overlooked topic.

This initiative, made possible with support from St. John's Health Foundation, will include both a community presentation and an interactive workshop at the Teton County Library, designed to empower participants with new perspectives on end-of-life care.

Community Presentation

Date: November 1
Time: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM (Doors open at 4:00 PM)

In this presentation, attendees will discover how proactive preparation can transform their end-of-life experience into a more meaningful and fulfilling journey. Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with local end-of-life care providers, including end-of-life doulas and team members from Sage Living and St. John’s Health Home Care and Hospice.

No registration is required for the community presentation.

Interactive Workshop

Date: November 2
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

This hands-on workshop will guide participants through interactive exercises and discussions, helping them develop an end-of-life plan that reflects their values and priorities. Dr. Bauer-Wu’s approach focuses on cultivating inner resources and fostering open conversations about mortality, allowing individuals to confront these topics with clarity and compassion.
