St. John’s Health today announced an expansion of urgent care services to address the evolving needs of the community. “Patients will benefit from added convenience and more choices for both in-person and virtual health visits,” said CEO Paul Beaupré, MD.
St. John’s Health Acquires Emerg-A-Care of Jackson Hole
St. John’s Health and Jackson physician Brent Blue, MD, agreed this week that St. John’s Health will assume the lease and oversee clinic operations at 455 W. Broadway. Dr. Blue, who has run the clinic for many years as Emerg-A-Care of Jackson Hole, will be able to continue to see his patients at this location as an independent contracted provider. St. John’s expects to add additional providers to the clinic staff.
“This location is ideally suited for locals and visitors in need of non-emergency care,” said Beaupré. “In addition, this new location helps us accommodate the space needs of our growing medical group of physicians, which provides services ranging from primary care to ENT/Audiology, General Surgery, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Urology, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Family Practice.”
The transition to operating the clinic as a part of St. John’s Health will take place gradually this fall. “The integration of a clinic into St. John’s Health is a highly regulated process to ensure we are providing the highest quality care and patient experience. This is a process that takes time, and I don’t expect patients will see big changes in the near future,” said Beaupré.
More information about St. John’s Health urgent care services at 455 W. Broadway will be available as clinic operations get underway. “We see a lot of opportunity in the future to expand what we are able to offer,” said Beaupré.
Patients with questions about this transition may call 307.739.6111.
St. John’s Will Launch On-Demand Care App
St. John’s On-Demand Care will be introduced this fall as another convenient and cost-effective option for patients. “The growing willingness, and sometimes necessity, of patients to have virtual health visits is a trend that everyone expects to continue,” said Beaupré. “During this pandemic, we have seen how virtual visits have become vital to safe, high-quality patient care.
On-Demand Care will be accessed through an app. Many common problems may be treated with On-Demand Care, including upper respiratory infections, common cold, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, urinary tract infections, allergies, rashes, pink eye, headaches, and more. Credentialed providers for this service are part of a national network. They are available on-demand, 24/7/365, which makes this service very convenient after-hours, nights, weekends, and even on holidays. “I expect that this service will be a very attractive option for travelers,” said Beaupré. “We hope to roll it out by early October.”
