Hospital Foundation Raises Awareness and Funds for Men's Health in November

Throughout November, St. John’s Hospital Foundation will be raising awareness and funds to support Men’s Health in our community.

Men, along with their family and friends, are invited to attend two public “Lunch and Learn” presentations on topics vital to men’s health.

On Thursday, November 14, urologist Ted Morgan, MD, and cardiologist Bill Mullen, MD, will be the featured experts. For the first half of the hour-long session, Dr. Morgan will lead a roundtable discussion on men’s urological topics, ranging from prostate health to incontinence to reproductive system problems. During the second half of the session, Dr. Mullen will present Lowering Your Cholesterol. Lunch will be provided.

On Thursday, November 21, the Lunch and Learn presentation will feature general surgeon Eric Wieman, MD, who will give an overview of men’s health topics. Internal medicine physician Glenn Burnett, MD, will present ways to address high blood pressure.

Both Lunch and Learn presentations will be held from noon until 1 pm in the St. John’s Professional Office Building Innovation Center, suite 206. Lunch will be served.

The St. John’s Hospital Foundation is also coordinating “Mustaches for Men’s Health” to raise money for the new Men’s Health Fund. Grow a mustache, make or gift to the Men’s Health Fund, or ask your friends and family to sponsor you. To sign up or make a donation, visit stjohnshospitalfoundation.org/program/menshealth. The competition has expanded this year to include participants from the Teton County Sheriff’s Department, Teton County School District, Teton Science School, Town of Jackson, Teton County Parks and Rec Department, St. John’s Medical Center, and the Jackson Hole community.

The Men’s Health Fund supports men in our community who are in need of preventative health services and cannot afford them, need support for travel to medical treatments, or need help to purchase items like childcare, groceries, and medicine while they are in active treatment for illness or injury.
