St. John’s Physician Practices announces that Berit Amundson, MD, has joined Family Health & Urgent Care, where she is practicing with physicians Jim Little, Jr., MD; and Christian Dean, DO; nurse practitioners Layne Lash, FNP-C; Kimberly Mellick, FNP-C; and Cece Tramburg, FNP-C; and physician assistant Jenny Fritch, PA-C.
“Dr. Amundson’s overall expertise, her training, and her patient-oriented approach are an ideal match for our team,” said Marty Trott, MD, medical director of St. John’s Physician Practices. “Having an additional provider on staff increases patient access to services, and aids the medical group in its goals of providing a continuum of care.”
Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Amundson previously practiced family medicine at Allina Health Clinic in Northfield, Minn. She earned a medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed a family medicine residency. Her professional interests include preventive medicine, geriatrics, women's health, urgent care, medical missions, and working with Spanish-speaking patients.
In her spare time, Dr. Amundson enjoys outdoor activities, including traveling, biking, camping, and hiking with her husband and daughters.
St. John’s Family Health & Urgent Care offers same-day urgent care services and is open seven days a week for extended hours. The practice also offers primary care for all ages.
