Finalists for architectural design of new Living Center to be interviewed

On Thursday, November 16, the St. John’s Medical Center (SJMC) Board of Trustees will hold a special public meeting for final interviews with the two architectural firms under consideration for the design of the new Living Center.

“We are grateful for the continued interest that the community has had in this project,” said Michael Tennican, president of the SJMC Board of Trustees. “We invite the public to remain engaged by attending these interviews.”

d2 Architecture (d2architecture.com) will be interviewed 8–10 am, and Anderson Mason Dale Architects (www.amdarchitects.com) will be interviewed 10:30 am–12:30 pm. Interviews will be held in the SJMC Boardroom.

The SJMC facilities committee, comprised of representatives of the SJMC staff and Board of Trustees, the St. John's Hospital Foundation, and the community, will participate in the interviews and will forward a recommendation to the SJMC Board of Trustees.

The new nursing home will provide long-term residential care, memory care, short-term rehabilitation, and hospice services.
